The first Power Stores store was our own

It did what it was supposed to, and it did it well. After seeing its success, we realized that we could provide this tool to others, and help them sell their products online. At Power Stores we stand for implicity, elegance, and common sense, and we hope to infuse those qualities in everything we do.

Cory York

Co-founder

Cory York brings with him a strong background and over 8 years of progressive experience in both the IT and e-retail industries. Cory, led the expansion efforts of Novator Systems Canada into India and was the Managing Director of Novator India, a subsidiary of the multimillion-dollar e-commerce and software developer.

At Novator, Cory worked with some of the worlds top brands like ftd.com, Lucas Films, Warner Brothers, Interflora Shoppers Stop and more.

Cory has very strong Indian retail industry contacts and is a member of the e-commerce committee for the Internet & Mobile Association of India. He headed up the entire creation and deployment of www.shoppersstop.com, India’s largest department store retailer. The site received a top nomination for the IT implementation of the year award from PC Quest magazine.

Cory is the ceo & Founder of Socia Linked Digtial Commerce a startup incubator which has founded www.giftcardsindia.in India’s largest gift card, and voucher retailer in India, and now cofounder of PowerStores.

Cory will leverage his retail contacts and drive business development while employing his eRetail expertise to build and lead PowerStores globally.

Indrajit Chowdhury

Co-founder

Indrajit Chowdhury brings 16 years of web development experience to the team. Indrajit started his career back in 1995 as a consultant at Nickelodeon Online where he was eventually put in charge of day-to-day technical operations at Nick.com then the highest trafficked kids site on the internet.

In 1997 Indrajit left to join netgrocer.com, the first internet grocery store and then went on to be the first employee at Letsplay.com, a pioneering social gaming via email startup. After 2 years consulting for cutting edge startups in the mobile and viral marketing spaces, Indrajit accepted the position of Director of Technology at Varsity Networks (VN), a software as a service startup focused on the needs of the high school sports market in the US. Now in 3,000 communities across the US, Indrajit was intimately involved in planning and implementing the architecture of a code base designed to scale to tens of thousands of sites.

Using his 10 years of Software as a Service experience, Indrajit is responsible for the creation of a next generation ecommerce platform specifically designed for the needs of the Indian market from a small neighbourhood store to the largest indian ecommerce site.

Firoz Khan

Co-founder

Firoz Khan is one of the most important players in the Indian e-commerce world. After completing his MBA from Mumbai University, Firoz has accumulated 13 years of experience in India's Internet & Online Industry. Firoz has built a reputation and a track record of setting up "New to the Industry" processes through his roles in the early stage start-up to success of Rediff.com & Future Groups' digital retail.

Firoz successfully launched India's first 'Cash-On- Delivery' option for online shopping with Rediff.com back in 1999. Firoz built Future Group's digital retail from scratch and successfully designed, developed and implemented "First Online Retail Supply Chain" & "Phone Commerce Channel" spreading across various Formats like Big Bazaar, Pantaloon, E- zone, Home Town, Planet Sports & Indus League.

Firoz served as Vice President Operations - Online Retail, Digital Commerce, E-commerce, M- commerce at Future Group. He was responsible for all aspects of fulfillment for online retail businesses of Future Group, Future Bazaar, Big Bazaar (www.bigbazaar.com), Ezone (www.ezoneonline.in) & Pantaloons (www.pantaloon.com).

Urvi Shah

Head - Merchant Services

Urvi Shah has been a player in the online industry for 6 years. She began with working for Google AdWords, starting at the bottom and eventually becoming an Account Optimization Strategist, Trainer, Mentor and part of a core team that managed the Optimization process within the organization.

She is a certified Google Advertising Professional and has worked with the tools and engineers teams to help improve the advertising platform to meet the requirements of advertisers. In the time she spent at Google, she has mastered the skills required in handling every aspect of creating, optimizing and managing client accounts on Google AdWords, as well as strong client servicing, team management and training skills.

Post-Google, Urvi trained in SEO and SMO technology and has worked freelance to help a large number of clients achieve success in their online marketing efforts.

Urvi brings with her the required skills to head a team of dedicated professionals committed to assist their clients to market their online stores and bring high volumes of qualified visitors and web store sales.
